Help Planning Travel Itinery!

I am gunna be in North America for 2 to 3 months and would really like to get advice on the top 6-10 destinations that are a must see. I would really like a variety of places incorporating a variety of areas cities and experiences...any ideas??!! Obviously I want to do New York but after that I'm kinda baffled at how to cut it down to about 8 places.
(If you do end up in California, take a trip across the border in Tijuana Mexico for the day..... it's unforgettable!) It's kinda sketchy but is an intersting place to visit. (You might also wanna look into Peurto Vallerta Mexico if you wanna be a beach bum!
Not sure what the name was of the place we stayed, but it was right on the square opposite the Alamo, the city's (and probably Texas') main attraction. I was 15 or so at the time and my grandparents took Sam and I there for a few days. I found the riverboat ride that we took incredibly enjoyable at the time and it seemed like there were a lot of places to have a great dinner there as well.

I have been to most of Europe, a lot of Mexico and a ton of the Caribbean. If I can be of any help let me know your direct questions and I'll see what I can do to help. I don't want to sound like a"know it all" but If I haven't been somewhere I always know someone that has. I've been in the travel business a long time and we're close and help each other more then we are 'cut throat'.
However, I've decided now to head straight for Australia for a year or so and dive all the great locations around there - Great barrier R, Papua New Guinea, Micronesia, Melanesia, Solomons. Cairns looks like a good base but I'm still checking that out. Then I could go to New Zealand via Sydney. Wayy hay!
I havnt been but iv done alot of research on Cairns and it looks superb. 2 of my friends including an instructor i know went over to oz and they said Cairns is awesome. They went out with Pro-Dive cairns and said it was v v professionally organised. However they had problems diving with pro dive sydney. My local instructor (master scuba diver trainer) said that his reg failed at 30 ft...and he examined the second stage only to find that it looked like it had never been serviced before. He also went on to say how poor the dive masters where.

Well, here we are 24 hours until our flight leaves for Mumbai! The past two weeks seem to have flown past in a blur of goodbye drinks and dinners. We have our bags all packed, just about managed to fit everything in. We have devoted more space to imodium than clothes so we are hoping to be ok in that department.
Our itinery for india is pretty relaxed, we are travelling from Mumbai overnight and then staying in Goa for about 11 days. The first few days we are in Anjuna then we plan to head south to Panji and Palolim, we then head on down to Kerela on the 17th October.

It’s a tough ask for a rookie in only his third game of senior footy but we are pleased to report that Clint aquitted himself very very well. McLeod was, at times, his usual self. Silky disposals, blistering pace and enough tricks up his sleeve to dance around the oppostion however Clint generally went with him most of the way.
Another good thing to report is that Clint (nicknamed Trace! by some of his team-mates so it looks like it is going to stick) seems to be finding the poise that he was renowned for in the U/18’s. He doesn’t seem to be as nervous or as rushed as in his first few games (inc the NAB Cup matches) so it augers well for his position within the team.
