My biggest problem with coffee mugs is the fact that the cup holders in most of my vehicles do not accommodate the handle of the mug. I have to hold it the whole time or put it in my lap (bad idea!). The Stainless LiquiSeal™ Travel Mug gets its name from the three silicone seals that lock at the push of a button. Once the seals are engaged, you can turn the mug upside down and nothing will run out. Just push the button when you want another sip. The no-drip drinking spout will keep the front of shirt clean all the way to work.
The Stainless LiquiSeal™ Travel Mug has a double stainless steel walled chamber and features a black non-slip grip. For best results, pre-heat or pre-cool the mug with hot or cold water. I had been looking for this travel mug for ages. I like to be able to toss a mug into the side pocket of my bag, but still easily grab a sip. Most travel mugs have openings in the top, making the bag-toss impossible and the bus ride extremely messy. Most Thermos-type mugs solve this with an actual closed top, but it's hard to just take a quick sip in class without going through the rigamarole of unscrewing all the parts. This mug solves all of those problems. It keeps a beverage warm or cold for a decent amount of time, there are no tops to unscrew and drop, and there is no spill. I've recommended it to all of my fellow grad students.

I replaced my Nissan wide mouth mug for this travel mug and have not been disappointed. My wife was impressed as well so I bought her one too. We know whose is whose because mine has the dents from dropping it down a rock embankment. Still works great, and kept my coffee nice and hot.
I bought this insulated mug because it claimed to be spill-proof. I had owned two OXO insulated mugs prior to this one and liked the design. I decided to switch because the seal on the OXOs didn't last as long as I would have liked. Knowing what I do now, I would have bought another OXO. If you want a travel mug that you can fill with piping hot coffee in the morning, throw it into your bag (yes it really, really won't leak) and have hot coffee hours later, than this is the one. I have owned many... this is the only one I have bought as gifts again and again.
Finally, a commuter mug that actually keeps my coffee hot. I brew my coffee at 5:00 a.m. and fill my mug. Then I throw it in my bag (this mug really is leakproof) and off I go to the gym. After my workout & shower, I head to the office and take out my coffee at 8:00. It's as hot as it was when I poured it in my kitchen. This mug isn't inexpensive, but to me it's worth the price because there is no other commuter mug that works this well.
I decided to write a review on this mug because it has become one of the small but much appreciated joys of my life. I've had this mug for over a year now and it's something I carry with me almost everywhere I go, keeping my tea or coffee HOT for over two hours, longer if I keep the lid closed between drinks.
