I booked a vacation months in advanced and paid the optional money for the travel guarantee. I had noticed that prices were up and down. I called and they confirmed that if I paid the penalty waiver I could change my vacation cost to the lowest price I found on Funjet. I booked. Two days later I checked again. The price was lower than what I booked at. I called and they declined. After arguing for 20 mins to customer service it all fell back on "read the small print" they blamed it on the prebooking of the airlines. I waited about a week and found it once again lower than ever before. I called and calmly stated I paid the penalty waiver and the guy gave me the discount no questions asked. Take this how you will. BUT calling and calling and the stress of trying to use the low price guarantee was a pain!

In Dec 2003 I took a trip to the Mayan Riviera (25 miles outside Cancun). The entire trip was a success. The Funjet lady was at the airport with a Funjet sign. The flight was on time. Customs took 2 hours, but I can't exactly blame Funjet for the slow federales down there. The bus ride was fine. We stopped at a couple other hotels, but for 15 bucks I can't complain. Funjet rep was on the bus and also in the hotel. He was great and helped us find some great trips without trying to power sell us. They also warned us about the time share folks. No problems at the resort. We stayed at the Grand Xcaret by Occidental. Amazing place. The flight home was delated 2 hours, but the Funjet rep called us in our room so we just watched tv in our room. Much better than sitting in the airport. Overall the trip was great and priced a LOT lower than anyone else.
